About the Role
We are looking for a Long-Format Content Writer with a strong interest in biotechnology, health sciences, longevity, wellness, and nutraceuticals. The ideal candidate should be able to write well-researched, SEO-friendly blogs that simplify complex scientific concepts for a wider audience without compromising accuracy.
This role is suitable for someone who understands how blogs contribute to content strategy, organic growth, brand authority, and customer education. The candidate should have experience managing blog content, a basic understanding of SEO, familiarity with E-E-A-T principles, and comfort using LLM tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to support research, ideation, outlining, and editing.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, long-form blog articles on topics related to biotechnology, health, longevity, wellness, supplements, microbiome, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.
- Conduct thorough research using credible scientific sources, including research papers, clinical studies, government health resources, and expert-backed references.
- Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, engaging, consumer-friendly content.
- Manage the blog workflow, including topic planning, drafting, editing, publishing coordination, and content updates.
- Create SEO-optimised blogs using keyword research, search intent analysis, headings, internal linking, meta titles, and meta descriptions.
- Apply E-E-A-T principles to ensure content demonstrates experience, expertise, authority, and trustworthiness.
- Use LLM tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms responsibly for research support, content structuring, idea generation, editing, and improving readability.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, scientists, doctors, nutritionists, SEO teams, marketing teams, and designers to produce accurate and engaging content.
- Review and update existing blogs to improve SEO performance, readability, scientific accuracy, and conversion potential.
- Maintain brand tone, content quality, and consistency across all blog articles.
- Track basic blog performance metrics such as organic traffic, rankings, engagement, and conversions in coordination with the SEO or marketing team.
- Ensure all content is compliant, balanced, and avoids exaggerated medical or therapeutic claims.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience writing long-form blogs, preferably in biotechnology, healthcare, life sciences, wellness, nutraceuticals, supplements, or related sectors.
- Basic understanding of SEO, including keyword placement, search intent, on-page optimisation, internal linking, and blog structure.
- Familiarity with E-E-A-T principles and their role in health and science content.
- Ability to read, interpret, and simplify scientific research for a non-technical audience.
- Comfortable using LLM tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or similar platforms as part of the writing and research process.
- Strong command of English grammar, structure, tone, and readability.
- Experience managing blog calendars, blog uploads, content updates, or editorial workflows.
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify credible sources and avoid misinformation.
- Ability to write content that is informative, engaging, and commercially relevant.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback from scientific, SEO, and marketing stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background in biotechnology, microbiology, life sciences, nutrition, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
- Experience writing for health-tech, biotech, longevity, diagnostics, microbiome, supplement, or wellness brands.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Surfer SEO, WordPress, Shopify, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of content compliance for health, supplement, or medical-adjacent brands.
- Experience creating content briefs, pillar pages, comparison blogs, product education blogs, and thought-leadership articles.
