About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Executive – Quality Assurance (QA) to join our Surat Purchase & Operations team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of all raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods procured and supplied by the organization.
The candidate will work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing Partners, Regulatory, and Operations teams to ensure that products meet internal quality standards, FSSAI regulations, and applicable certification requirements before being released to the market.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Quality Control
- Perform quality checks and verification of incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
- Review and validate Certificates of Analysis (COA), specifications, and supporting quality documents from vendors.
- Ensure all raw materials meet approved quality standards before procurement and usage.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quality-related documentation and corrective actions.
Finished Goods Quality Assurance
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products before dispatch and market release.
- Verify product specifications, packaging accuracy, batch details, and labeling compliance.
- Ensure adherence to approved quality parameters and release procedures.
Testing & Laboratory Coordination
- Coordinate product testing through NABL-accredited and approved laboratories.
- Manage testing requirements including:
- Nutritional analysis
- Microbiological testing
- Heavy metals testing
- Stability testing
- Contaminant analysis
- Other regulatory and quality assessments
- Review test reports and maintain testing records.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, food safety standards, and company quality requirements.
- Support product registrations, certifications, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and quality records.
Supplier Quality Management
- Assess and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Support supplier qualification and onboarding processes.
- Follow up with vendors regarding deviations, quality concerns, and CAPA implementation.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain SOPs, specifications, quality records, testing reports, and compliance documentation.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Any bachelor’s or master’s degree
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
- Experience in Nutraceuticals, Food Supplements, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or Food Manufacturing preferred.
- Experience handling vendor quality management, testing coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of FSSAI regulations and food safety standards.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and quality management systems.
- Experience reviewing COAs, test reports, and product specifications.
- Strong documentation and audit management skills.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quality reporting tools.
